What is an Evaporator and How is an Evaporator Manufactured?

An evaporator is a device that thickens a liquid and brings it into concentrated form. The operation is carried out by methods such as heating the liquid and lowering the pressure. Used in various industries such as food, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and petrochemicals, evaporators generally serve in operations such as thickening, concentrating and separating products.

The working principle of an evaporator is as follows:

  1. The liquid is transferred into the evaporator.

  2. The liquid is heated with the help of a heat source (steam, electricity or hot water).

  3. During heating the liquid starts to evaporate.

  4. The vapor that forms is collected from the upper part of the evaporator.

  5. In the condenser the vapor is cooled and turned back into liquid.

  6. The thickened liquid is collected as the product.

Evaporator manufacturing covers the design and production of the systems that evaporate highly viscous liquid solutions by heat transfer and turn them into a denser, more concentrated product.
